We're Going to Africa!

We found out officially last week that we are off for Africa for the next 6 months! Starting with Kenya for 2 months and then to Ghana through the rest of the year. Brian will be doing volunteer consulting work faciliated by TechnoServe http://www.technoserve.org/ in both countries. I plan to do some volunteer work as well and hope to line something up before we go.

It's going to be a tough transition but totally worth it. We still have a lot do before we leave in early July: pack up our apt in North Beach, move everything into a storage unit in San Jose, find plant-sitters, get immunizations, make last minute doctor visits, and say bye to family and friends!

We'll plan on keeping everyone up to date on our travels with pictures and stories that we'll place here.

Soon we'll be off to the land of the giraffes..... :)
