Weekend of August 8th and 9th we stayed around Nairobi. On Saturday we ventured off to see the giraffes at the Giraffe Center located in Karen. It may appear that we got pretty friendly with these kind creatures but we just put a pellet of food in between our lips and the giraffe snatched it out with its long tongue. Yes it was a bit slimy but when else do you get to feed a giraffe this way?
Mmmm.. giraffe slobber. I bet it was like having a Lhasa Apso puppy lick your face, only with a bigger tongue. How did it feel to "crack" your face after it had dried?
